Kathryn Mockler
WRITER - FILMMAKER - POET

Kathryn Mockler received her MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia and her BA in Honours English and Creative Writing from Concordia University. In 2005, she attended the Canadian Film Centre's Writers' Lab and wrote two short films for the NBC/Universal Short Dramatic Film Program. Her fiction and poetry have been published most recently in Earlit Shorts, CellStories, PIF, The Puritan, La Petite Zine, nthposition, and This Magazine. Her films have been broadcast on TMN, Movieola, and Bravo and have screened at festivals such as Palm Springs International Festival, Interfilm Berlin, Cape Town World Cinema Film Festival, Worldfest, Cinequest, and EMAF. Her poetry book Onion Man is forthcoming from Tightrope Books in 2011. Artwork by David Poolman
